This 1st floor extension, constructed on top of the old single storey kitchen of this pretty cottage in Hanover, was built to house the new family bathroom.

 

The owners wanted to continue the traditional style of the 140 year old railway workers cottage so we installed a double glazed sash window, sourced a reclaimed victorian bathroom door and the traditional bath cladding was colour-matched to the metro tiles.

To create a new entry to the room, we had to turn the staircase around and add a new landing upstairs.
